Center Harbor is situated between Lake Winnipesaukee and Squam Lake, and located between Meredith and Moultonborough.

Bird's Eye View

The town gets its name from two sources: from its location, centered between Meredith and Moultonborough Harbors, and also for the Senter family, who were owners of a large amount of property in the area. Only a 15 minute drive to Meredith, Center Harbor still offers some quietness and tranquility when on and off the lake. The MS Mt. Washington docks here in one of it's 5 ports throughout the summer.

MS Mt. Washington

Calico Ghost Town

Quick video of an old ghost mining town in the Mojave desert. It is Calico in the Calico Mountains, San Bernardino County, California.

Great place to visit, but avoid during the summer heat.

Special events are held throughout the year including a Spring Festival in May, Calico Days in early October, and a Ghost Town haunt in late October.

Calico was the location for the final scenes of the film The Prowler (1951) starring Van Heflin and Evelyn Keyes.
