August 21, 1732... First European boat reached Alaska. It was the Russian St. Gabriel.

Russian America was born. It was not only Alaska but pacific coast of British Columbia, Hawaian forts and Fort Ross in California.

In 1867 Russian America was sold to the United States for $7.2 million.
