Lukla Airport

Tenzing-Hillary Airport (or Lukla Airport) is a small airport in the town of Lukla in Nepal.

It is one of the most dangerous and beautiful airports in the World.

The airport was named in honor of Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, the first people to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
Length of runway is only 460 m, and its width is 20 m!

But such extreme airport is one of the busy airports in the World!

Lukla flights or flights to Tenzing-Hillary airport starts in the early morning to mid day. The flights normally starts from 6:30 AM till 3:30 PM.
