Belize Barrier Reef

The Belize Barrier Reef is a main place of interesting in the country.

Mainly the reef is fomous for the Mysterious Belize Great Blue Hole, which was formed as a limestone cave system during the last glacial period when the sea level was 400 to 500 feet below present time and was dryland. Last glacial period began about 120,000 years ago and end about 15,000 years ago. Reaching the maximum extension 26,500 years ago. At the end the ocean began to rise, the caves flooded, and the roof collapsed.

The Belize Barrier Reef is a series of coral reefs. It is the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System.

Twitter



March 21, 2006 Twitter started.

Jack Dorsey published the first Twitter message at 9:50 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST): "just setting up my twttr".

It had 400,000 tweets posted per quarter in 2007. This grew to 100 million tweets posted per quarter in 2008. In February 2010, Twitter users were sending 50 million tweets per day.

Did you know in 2013, Twitter had roughly 200 million active users who sent over 400 million tweets daily?

Harvard-Yale

The annual regatta between Yale and Harvard, the oldest rivalry in American college sports, has been taking place on the Thames River since 1878.


Each team has a permanent facility in Gales Ferry that makes the experience of this tradition more memorable.

Paratha

Paratha is a flatbread that originated in the Indian Subcontinent.

The Paratha is an important part of a traditional North Asian breakfast. Traditionally, it is made using ghee but oil is also used. Some people may even bake it in the oven for health reasons. Usually the paratha is eaten with dollops of white butter on top of it. Sides which go very well with paratha are curd, fried egg, omelette, Ground mutton cooked with vegetable and spices, a lamb dish, zeera aloo potatoes lightly fried with cumin seeds, daal, and raita as part of a breakfast meal. It may be stuffed with potatoes, paneer, onions, qeema or chili peppers.


Ingredients: two cups chapati flour, four tbsp plus one tsp of vegetable oil or ghee, separated, 1/2 tsp salt, 2/3 cup water, 1/2 cup rice flour.

Hansel Valley earthquake

80 years ago, on the morning of March 12, 1934, Kelton was hit by the most powerful earthquake ever recorded in Utah. At a magnitude of 6.6 and an intensity of VIII, the Hansel Valley quake and its aftershocks might have been devastating in a densely-populated area, but only two people were killed.
