Hurricane Wilma


In 2005 Hurricane Wilma became the strongest Category 5 Hurricane in the Atlantic basin in recorded history with a barometric pressure of 882mb.


It slammed the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico then went on to hit Florida. Mike Theiss captured on video Hurricane Wilma's strong Category 2 force winds on Miami Beach, Florida on October 24th, 2005. He recorded on video Hurricane Wilma's fierce eyewall and then her calm eye. While inside Hurricane Wilma's eye Mike recorded a barometric pressure of 959mb. Hurricane Wilma lost some of her punch before hitting Florida but still caused an estimate 16.8 billion dollars in damage...
